Photographer Anna Dobrovolskaya-Mints is focused on astrophotography and landscape photography.

Anna is a member of group exhibitions in Russia, including “Best of Russia” and “Silver Camera”. In 2019 she presented her first solo exhibition ZERO F * CKS GIVEN at the Photobastei gallery (Zurich, Switzerland). Participant of the charity project “100 PHOTOGRAPHERS FOR BERGAMO“, the auction of the Sozidanie charitable foundation, and the international photography fair MIA Photo Fair. In 2018, Dobrovolskaya-Mints created the ADM Photo organization, which represents her as a photographer and also produces her collaborations with contemporary artists.
Anna is the actual ambassador for the Swiss camera manufacturer ALPA of Switzerland. On adm.photo are presented Anna’s fine art prints for sale.

To create the artworks the photographer uses a digital camera, experiments with modes of exposure and stresses the importance of the nonmaterial nature of images created with the help of a digital camera. Such images can only be authentic in a digital space, but not as things or objects of the real objective world. These ghost images created by the artist can be installed, uninstalled and undergo other manipulations to demonstrate the ability of a digital picture as an object of digital information to transform and change the meanings of visual images, which it carries.

The artist focused on visual manifestations and semantic signs in her night and astronomy photos. Time is one of the manifestations of objective reality, but we cannot feel or see it, we can only live in it and measure it this way. Visual manifestation of this are the star tracks. The stars, the sky, water, stones – they are all archetypical culture signs referring to traditional timeless basics having their own semantic meanings.
